Hello, I’m Donna!

I was born in Bremerton and raised in Port Orchard, graduating from SKHS in 1994. Then I moved away for college and a future of doing what I love most—leading people, building teams, traveling, and helping businesses grow. I have 35 years of leadership experience, much of it in retail and multi-unit management for “Big Business”. I would have never guessed that being a small business owner in my hometown would be so fulfilling.

My corporate life eventually led me back to Port Orchard, which in turn made me fall in love with the downtown community feel and,  along with my partner, JD, purchasing The Mercantile Coffee Co. from my sister in September 2025. Here, I’ve discovered just how much I love being part of the small-business community and creating a place where people can gather, connect, and feel at home.

Outside of work, I’m a beauty enthusiast and content creator, a lover of coffee, painting, journaling, and just about anything that fills the time! We have 6 kids and 1 grandchild, that I love to spend time with, and a dog that is more scared than scary. My mantra - you’re never too old to try something new, reinvent yourself, or chase an idea that excites you.

What I love most about Port Orchard is its sense of community. There is so much potential here, especially along our waterfront and downtown, and I’m excited about being part of its continued growth while still preserving the personality and small-town connection that makes Port Orchard special.
