From Port Orchard with Love . . . February features Valentine Specials, free raffles among the downtown merchants, and lots of love during the week before Valentine's Day.

March is National Youth Art Month and the Sidney Art Gallery hosts its annual student show featuring art work from students of South Kitsap High School and the Discovery Alternative School.  Saturday, April 15, is the Easter Egg Hunt at the South Kitsap Regional Park, sponsored by Fathoms O' Fun. 

The Port Orchard Farmers Market opens April 15 and continues every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm until mid-October.  The Port Orchard Yacht Club beginning April 22 and running through Memorial Day brings Friday Night Sails, and hosts a number of Regattas during the spring and summer months. 

The Port Orchard Marina opens 2017 boating season on the first Saturday of May, May 6. The Port Orchard Bay Street Association is featuring Ladies Night Out on May 5, from 5pm to 8 pm in downtown Port Orchard. The first ever Port Orchard Film Festival will take place May 5-7, hosted by the Dragonfly Theatre.  If you Facebook, check out their event here.  The Sidney Art Gallery hosts the 46th annual Helen Norris Open Art show during May with the reception on Sunday, May 14.  Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-28, brings the 8th Annual Kitsap Harbor Festival, to the Port Orchard and Bremerton Waterfronts. In Port Orchard, the Festival includes the 29th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce's Seagull Calling Contest and Wings Cookoff on Saturday, May 27.  

The South Kitsap Relay for Life, will be Friday, June 2-3 at South Kitsap High School.  Beginning in June (June 1) and continuing until August 31, Fathoms O’ Fun presents Concerts by the Bay at the Port Orchard Marina Park each Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 pm. The Fathoms O' Fun Summer Festival grand parade is scheduled on June 24 at 6 pm as part of a three day Summer Festival Craft & Vendor Show. This year they are reprising the Dingy Derby on Sunday, June 25.  There will be parade day activities all day in downtown Port Orchard.

The Fourth of July Fathoms O' Fun Grand Fireworks light up the skies over Sinclair Inlet at 10:30PM. Then, the Chris Craft Rendezvous returns to the Port Orchard Marina on July 13-16.  On July 14 and 15, the first Art & Antique Fair will be held during the Chris Craft Dendezvous throughout downtown Port Orchard and along the waterfront.  Mustangs on the Waterfront are on display Sunday, July 30.

On August 12, the Kitsap Wine Festival, benefitting Harrison Medical Center Foundation, will be held in Bremerton.  The Saints Car Club's classic car show, The Cruz, attracts cars and visitors from far and wide on Sunday, August 13 to the Port Orchard waterfront. Fathoms O’ Fund Festival by the Bay is held August 13 in conjunction with the Cruz.

Sunday, September 3 enjoy The Taste of Port Orchard on the waterfront in Port Orchard where many excellent Port Orchard restaurants will be providing food and the special artwalk is held. Across the water in Bremerton, the 28th annual Blackberry Festival will be held September 2-4.

The Port Orchard Bay Street Association features Ladies Night Out on Bay Street where goodies, give aways and gifts happen October 6!  Port Orchard has a number of spooky events including a costume contest at the Port Orchard Public Market on October 28, and Trick or Treat in Downtown Port Orchard for Halloween, Saturday, October 28.  Be sure to stop in at the various downtown merchants who are treating.  Have your picture taken with a witch at the Sidney Art Gallery and Museum and join in the scavenger hunt upstairs at the museum and join in all the fun events at the Kitsap Regional Library Port Orchard Branch.

There will be a free pancake breakfast, coloring contest, the start of the Chamber's "Selfie" contest and great shopping opportunities among the downtown merchants on Shop Small Saturday, November 25.

In December, we’re all getting ready for the holidays and the Festival of Chimes and Lights, sponsored by the City of Port Orchard, will lead the way on December 2, including the Port Orchard Chamber Holiday Pet Parade, Sinclair Inlet Yacht Club Christmas Lane and, of course, the Jingle Bell Run. The Log Cabin Museum will have its annual Pictures with Santa at the Log Cabin Museum the first two weekends in December – bring your camera, your family or your pets and the Log Cabin will provide Santa and the Christmas tree!
